Here is what participants at the
NECME
Conference are saying about this year's conference:
"Thank you for creating such a
powerful and interesting opportunity for educators to come
together and learn together. My teacher and I especially
enjoyed Randy and Jo Ann’s workshop entitled, “Strengthening
Our Laws and Policies to Prevent Bullying and Harassment.”
(from a presenter) I was taken
aback with the number of educators that came to the workshop -
we had a few that were standing (they came in late) - even
Sonya came at the end - she was busy signing her book and
wanted the DVD to keep - which I gave her. 50+ educators -
Wow! The conference venue was lovely and everything was so
beautifully organized. Felicia, did a wonderful job and was in
total control. There were no problems with anything from our
end. Please let her know that I truly appreciate her making
sure that all my technical requirements were taken care of.
Thank you, thank you for all
of the hard work that clearly went into organizing the 13th
Annual New England Conference on Multicultural Education! The
Convention Center is an absolutely gorgeous venue—I love the
river side! I really enjoyed the convention workshops that I
attended. The well-prepared and knowledgeable presenters
engaged attendees in thoughtful discussion and interactive
teaching exercises.
Just a note to thank you for
the opportunity to attend the Multicultural conference
yesterday. It was Great- very stimulating conversation! I had
been toying with the concept of” White Identity” development
rather than- what’s typically addressed- racial (minority)
identity development. So, I was glad to hear our speaker
discuss this. I look forward to attending next year’s event.
... it was a great conference
and from what I could tell there were a lot of positive
experiences. And not just the dessert!
